Shrek the Musical

An ogre living in solitude finds his swamp overrun by fairy tale creatures under the orders of a cruel ruler. To reclaim his home, the ogre agrees to rescue a princess from a guarded tower. Along with a talkative donkey, he embarks on a journey to retrieve the woman, who possesses secrets of her own.

This musical adaptation was directed by Michael John Warren and served as the first film in his career.
