Accel World: Infinite Burst

Set in a future where life is heavily integrated with a virtual network, the story follows Haruyuki, a student who suffers from bullying. He is recruited by the popular Kuroyukihime to join the Accel World, a hidden reality accessible via an application that accelerates thought processes and allows users to engage in multiplayer combat. During a territorial conflict between the Nega Nebulus and Great Wall factions, a technical failure disables the Social Cameras and disconnects the players. Haruyuki and his companions must determine the cause of this disruption to restore the system.

This Japanese science fiction action film was released in 2016. It was directed by Masakazu Obara and Ayako Kono, with Obara later directing two films in the Sword Art Online Progressive series.
