Seoul Station

Seoul Station is an animated horror film set around the South Korean capital's central railway station, a place where many of the city's homeless take shelter. One of them falls ill and dies, then rises again and attacks another person. A strange infection spreads rapidly through the area, and the authorities seal off the district to contain it. Meanwhile, a young woman named Hye-sun has left a bad living situation and her boyfriend behind, while her father Suk-gyu searches the streets for her. Their paths become tangled with the outbreak sweeping the station and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Yeon Sang-ho directed and wrote the film, which followed his live-action feature Train to Busan in his filmography and shares that film's world. Voices are provided by Ryu Seung-ryong, Shim Eun-kyung and Lee Joon, among others. The film runs 92 minutes and was released in August 2016, taking roughly two million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.1 out of 10 from more than eight thousand votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.5 from around five hundred votes. A critics' rating of 6.9 from two dozen reviews places it somewhat above the audience scores on both sites.
