Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House follows the senior FBI official whose secret disclosures to reporters helped expose the Watergate scandal. Working with journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, Felt passed information to the press while keeping his identity hidden under the name Deep Throat. As the second-in-command at the Bureau, he finds himself pulled between his own sense of duty and the demands of his superiors, while the White House pushes to shut the investigation down. Felt kept his role secret for decades before confirming it publicly in 2005.

Peter Landesman directed and wrote the screenplay, his third feature after Parkland and Concussion, and the film was produced by Ridley Scott, Jay Roach and Marc Butan. Liam Neeson plays Felt, with Diane Lane as his wife Audrey, Maika Monroe as his daughter Joan, Wendi McLendon-Covey as Carol Tschudy, Julian Morris as Bob Woodward and Josh Lucas as Charlie Bates. The credited cast runs to 34 names.

Released in 2017 and running 103 minutes, the film earned about 4 million dollars worldwide, a modest return. On IMDb it rates 6.4 from roughly 16,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.2 from 563 votes.
