Prisoner X

Prisoner X follows a government interrogator, Carmen, who is brought to a secret underground facility to question a man accused of being a time-traveling terrorist. Much of the world has fallen into chaos, and authorities believe this prisoner is responsible. The detainee, held in a high-security prison, proves difficult to break and offers little beyond cryptic words in an unfamiliar language, though he eventually provides a set of coordinates that appear to predict coming astronomical events. When those predictions begin to come true, the interrogators are forced to reconsider who and what they are dealing with.

The film is a Canadian science fiction thriller directed by Gaurav Seth, who also wrote the screenplay. It sits between his earlier Pink Ludoos and his later Multiverse. Julian Richings plays the prisoner Jefferson, with Michelle Nolden as Carmen, Nigel Bennett as President Charles Turner, Damon Runyan as Fischer, Jessica Greco as Anna and Gianpaolo Venuta as Jim.

Prisoner X runs 90 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.1 from around 1,100 votes, and on TMDB it has a rating of 5.7 from a much smaller base of 28 votes. The modest scores and limited vote counts suggest a low-profile release with a small audience.
