TiMER

TiMER is set in an alternative version of present-day Los Angeles, where a biometric implant worn on the wrist counts down to the exact moment its owner will meet their soulmate. Almost everyone has one, and the device has reshaped how people approach romance, with many refusing to date anyone whose timer does not match their own. Oona O'Leary, approaching thirty, has a timer that has never activated, which the manufacturer attributes to her counterpart not yet having been implanted. Tired of waiting, she begins a relationship with Mikey, a supermarket clerk several years younger than her, even though his timer shows only four months remaining.

The film was directed by Jac Schaeffer, who also wrote the screenplay, marking her feature debut. Emma Caulfield leads the cast as Oona, alongside Michelle Borth, John Patrick Amedori, Desmond Harrington, JoBeth Williams and Scott Holroyd, among 29 credited performers.
