Özge is a young woman of Turkish origin living in Vienna, where she works as a taxi driver and spends her evenings studying and training hard at Thai boxing. She keeps largely to herself. One day she witnesses a brutal murder in a neighbouring building, and the killer notices her as well. Because she could identify him, he begins hunting the only witness, turning her life upside down; the police offer little help. Investigator Christian Steiner, whose own life is weighed down by a failed marriage and the care of his father, becomes the one officer who believes her account. When the killer mistakes her cousin and closest friend, Ranya, for Özge and kills her, Özge must also take responsibility for Ranya's small daughter while the pursuit closes in around her.
