Future World

Set in a desolate future wasteland, this science fiction film follows a young man from a wealthy family who leaves a safe sanctuary to find a rare medicine for his dying mother. Accompanied by a robot bodyguard, he travels through a violent and diseased landscape. During his journey, he must face various threats, including a cruel warlord who commands a lethal robot killer.

Directed by James Franco and Bruce Thierry Cheung, the film was released in 2018. It follows seven previous directorial efforts by Franco, including The Disaster Artist and The Institute, and precedes his 2019 film Zeroville. The production was a collaboration between AMBI Group, Premiere Picture, Black Sparrow Films, and Dark Rabbit Productions. The cast features Jeffrey Wahlberg as the prince, James Franco as the warlord, and Suki Waterhouse as Ash, alongside Margarita Levieva, Snoop Dogg, and Twin Shadow.
