Killing Gunther

Killing Gunther follows a crew of eccentric contract killers who have grown tired of Gunther, the world's top hitman, and his habit of taking jobs out from under them. They band together to eliminate him, but every stage of their plan goes wrong, because their target always seems to be a step ahead of them. The film is a comedy built around that chase, with the assassins' bungled attempts driving the action.

Taran Killam directed the film from his own screenplay, and it was released in 2017. It was the first feature he directed, ahead of Fanatic in 2023. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Gunther, with Killam appearing as Blake Hammon alongside Bobby Moynihan, Hannah Simone, Peter Kelamis and Paul Brittain. The production was a British, Canadian and American effort, with a credited cast of 38 and a credited crew of 100.
