Short description

Gentle and broken, a homeless man fights others on video for money but soon finds comfort in an unlikely friend and the lost diary of a young girl.

What's left behind the scenes

While filming in Los Angeles, lead actor Thomas Haden Church played a homeless man even when the cameras weren't rolling; he was so convincing in the role that people actually mistook him for a homeless person.
Director and screenwriter Knute Waltman began working on the script back in 2005 when, while in India, he lost his passport and was stranded in the country for five days, knowing no one and not speaking the language.
