Mad World

Mad World is a drama about a man named Tung who returns to Hong Kong to live with his father after spending a year in a psychiatric facility for bipolar disorder. The two struggle to reconcile their strained relationship while sharing a cramped living space. As they attempt to move forward from a family tragedy and navigate Tung's reintegration into society, they encounter a world that is often indifferent and cruel to those with mental illness.

The film was directed by Wong Chun, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Florence Chan. The main cast features Shawn Yue in the lead role as Tung, alongside Eric Tsang as his father and Elaine Jin as his mother. Other supporting roles are played by Charmaine Fong Ho-Man, Ivan Chan, and Ng Siu-Hin, with a total of 21 credited cast members.
