Yogi Bear

Yogi Bear follows the famous talking bear and his smaller companion Boo-Boo, who live in Jellystone Park, where they spend their days swiping picnic baskets from visitors. Their easy life is threatened when Mayor Brown, hoping to solve the town's financial troubles, arranges to sell the park and hand its land over for development. Faced with losing their home, Yogi and Boo-Boo join forces with Ranger Smith, and with a documentary filmmaker named Rachel who has come to the park to film a project, to find a way to stop the sale.

The film is a live-action and computer-animated family adventure directed by Eric Brevig, whose previous feature was Journey to the Center of the Earth in 2008. It was written by Brad Copeland, Jennifer Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin, and produced by Karen Rosenfelt and Donald De Line. Dan Aykroyd voices Yogi and Justin Timberlake voices Boo-Boo, with Anna Faris as Rachel, Tom Cavanagh as Ranger Smith, T.J. Miller as Ranger Jones and Nate Corddry as the mayor's chief of staff. It is based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series.

Made for about 80 million dollars, the film took roughly 204 million dollars worldwide, a return that outweighs its production cost. Audience response was modest: it holds 4.6 out of 10 on IMDb from around 25,000 votes and 5.6 out of 10 on TMDB from just under a thousand votes, while the critics' rating stands lower at 3.7 out of 10 from 101 reviews.
