What's left behind the scenes
- Director Denise Di Novi made Geoff Stults film in makeup. In addition, Stults had to constantly tan or endure additional makeup because he looked "too white" in scenes with Rosario Dawson.
- The directorial debut of producer Denise Di Novi.
- Before filming this movie, Katherine Heigl had not seen Adrian Lyne’s thriller “Fatal Attraction” (1987). During filming, she started to watch it once before bed, but stopped after 20 minutes because she got scared.
- In the scene where Tessa is sitting at the computer looking at her wedding photos with David, wedding pictures of Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley were used (that's why the groom's face is not visible in any of the photos).
