A recently divorced man dealing with personal trauma relocates to Hakodate, Hokkaido. He enrolls in a vocational college to study carpentry alongside other students facing similar life struggles. While visiting a hostess club with some of his peers, he meets an unconventional young woman, and the two begin a romantic relationship.
The film was directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita, following his work on Tamako in Moratorium and preceding several projects including Let's Go Karaoke! and Confession.
