This Crazy Heart

An irresponsible man in his thirties named Lenny is forced by his father to care for David, a fifteen-year-old suffering from a congenital heart condition. To regain his privileges and financial support, Lenny must look after the teenager. Despite their different backgrounds, the two form a strong bond as Lenny ignores the rules to help David experience everything he has ever wanted. Through these adventures, the two characters find a deep connection and Lenny learns the meaning of responsibility.

This German drama was directed by Marc Rothemund, following his 2017 film My Blind Date with Life. The movie stars Elyas M'Barek as Lenny Reinhard and Philip Noah Schwarz as David Müller, with a credited cast of 24 people. Produced by Constantin Film, the project involved producers Oliver Berben, Viola Jäger, and Martin Moszkowicz, with a screenplay written by Maggie Peren and Andi Rogenhagen.
