Leffert's Corners is a storm-battered town that has been emptied of much of its population and troubled for decades by monstrous creatures breeding in the tunnels beneath the cemetery. A group of residents decides to blow up the graveyard to end the threat for good, but their plan is derailed by the arrival of armed criminals who want money buried in one of the graves. John Martense, newly released from prison, returns to the town of his childhood and is drawn into the conflict, alongside a woman seeking revenge for her sister's death, an undertaker with knowledge of the burial site, and a local doctor.
C. Courtney Joyner wrote and directed the film, a Full Moon Entertainment production made in Romania on a budget of about one million dollars. It runs 77 minutes and mixes crime with horror. Jon Finch, Ashley Laurence, Vincent Schiavelli and Jeffrey Combs are among the cast, with Blake Adams as John Martense.
The film was released in July 1994 and received low ratings from both audiences and critics. On IMDb it holds 4.6 out of 10 from roughly 2,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 4.9 out of 10 from a much smaller pool of 64 votes. Both figures point to a modest reception rather than a widely praised one.
