Om Namo Venkatesaya is an Indian Telugu-language drama about Raama, a man devoted to Lord Venkateswara. He turns away from worldly pleasures, including his bride-to-be and his maradalu Bhavani, and arrives at Tirumala. There he sets out, with Krishnamma's help, to transform the temple town into what he calls Kaliyuga Vaikuntham, a fitting place for pilgrims and for the deity alike. His efforts bring obstacles, and the story also follows his encounters with the Lord himself. Nagarjuna Akkineni plays the central role, with Anushka Shetty as Krishnamma and Sai Kumar, Brahmanandam and Sourabh Raaj Jain among the supporting cast; Jagapati Babu appears briefly as a king.
The film was directed and written by K Raghavendra Rao and produced by A Mahesh Reddy, and it runs 144 minutes. It is the fifth of the five titles listed from Rao's directing career, arriving decades after his earlier work, which included films from the late 1970s through the 1980s. It is a devotional drama rooted in the Tirumala temple and its traditions.
Audience response has been positive but modest in scale: on IMDb it holds a rating of 7.1 out of 10 from 495 votes, suggesting a favourable view among those who have recorded an opinion.
