Tears of the Sexten Dolomites

Set during the First World War in 1915, this film follows Franz and Peter, two rivals drafted into military service on the Dolomite front. Tasked with defending against an Italian offensive, the two men struggle with a deep mutual hostility fueled by their competition for the affections of a woman named Anna. As they face the dangers of combat and the brutal mountain environment, the harsh realities of war eventually force them to move past their conflict.

Directed by Hubert Schönegger, this Italian production blends drama, history, and documentary elements. The cast features Thomas Prenn as Franz Anderlacher, Florian Sumerauer as Peter Hartmaier, and Jasmin Barbara Mairhofer as Anna Moser.
