Spyder

Spyder is an Indian action crime thriller about a surveillance specialist who works to help people and finds himself facing a killer who embodies evil. The story follows an intelligence officer whose work monitoring communications puts him on the trail of a serial murderer, leading him to watch the killer closely in order to foil his plans before more lives are lost.

The film was directed by A. R. Murugadoss, whose earlier work includes Stalin and Ghajini. It was released in 2017 and runs 145 minutes. The cast is led by Mahesh Babu as Shiva, Rakul Preet Singh as Shalini, and S. J. Suryah as Sudalai, with supporting roles from Bharath Srinivasan, Balaji Patturaj, and Nagineedu Vellanki. It was produced by Tagore Madhu and N.V. Prasad under Reliance Entertainment and NVR Cinema, and it grossed 27 million USD worldwide. On TMDB it holds a rating of 5.3 out of 10 based on 71 votes.
