Raja the Great

Raja the Great is a Telugu action comedy about a blind man whose mother, a head constable, has raised and trained him from childhood to turn his disability into an advantage. He shares a close bond with Lucky, the sheltered daughter of a police officer, and the two mean everything to each other. Their world is disrupted by a criminal named Devaraj, and Raja becomes part of the effort to deal with him. The film stars Ravi Teja as Raja, with Mehreen Pirzada as Lucky, Vivan Bhatena as Devaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar as Anantha Lakshmi, Srinivasa Reddy and Tanikella Bharani.

Anil Ravipudi directed and wrote the screenplay, with Dil Raju producing under Sri Venkateswara Creations. It was Ravipudi's second feature as director, following Supreme in 2016, and preceded F3: Fun and Frustration, Bhagavanth Kesari and later films in his growing filmography. Released on 18 October 2017, it runs 149 minutes and falls in the action-comedy genre. Audience response was moderate: on IMDb it holds 6.3 out of 10 from around 2,600 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.9 out of 10 from roughly 30 votes, indicating a small but consistent level of viewer approval. Its 48 credited cast members reflect a large ensemble typical of Telugu commercial cinema.
