Short description
Elena Houghlin is a young scientist and engineer who has developed Calisto, a sustainable energy source with the potential to change how the world is powered. Before she can correct a flaw that would let the technology be used as a weapon, her employers push it toward an investor. Realizing the company she works for has no intention of giving Calisto up, she turns to the Townsend Agency.
The agency, once built around a single team, has expanded internationally, with several groups of highly trained women working under handlers who all answer to the name Bosley. Elena joins two of them, Sabina Wilson and Jane Kano, in an effort to recover Calisto before it falls into the wrong hands.
Elizabeth Banks directed and wrote the screenplay, and also produced the film and appears as Boz. It is her third feature as director, following Movie 43 and Pitch Perfect 2. Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska lead the cast, with Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou as the two Bosleys.
Released in November 2019, the film runs 118 minutes. Made for about 48 million dollars, it earned roughly 73 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5 out of 10 from around 85,000 votes, while on TMDB it rates 6.4 out of 10 from about 3,200 votes.

- John Bosley, played by Sir Patrick Stewart, mentions the death of Charlie. This refers to John Forsythe (1918-2010), who played Charlie in the television series "Charlie's Angels" (1976-1981) and the first two films, and who died on April 1, 2010, at the age of 92.
- Ella Balinska performed a significant number of the stunts herself.
- As part of preparation for filming, director Elizabeth Banks had the lead actresses re-watch not the previous films, but select episodes of the original series (1976-1981).
- During the end credits, Naomi Scott's character is shown driving a race car. She was instructed by professional racer Danica Patrick.
