Born to Raise Hell

Bobby is an Interpol agent sent to Eastern Europe to work with a task force pursuing arms and drug trafficking across the Balkans. While investigating a Russian dealer, he and his team become caught in a violent street conflict between local criminals and Russian gangsters. One member of the unit is killed, and Bobby sets out to settle the score himself.

Born to Raise Hell is a 2010 action film directed by Lauro Chartrand, from a screenplay by Steven Seagal, who also produced and stars as Bobby. The cast includes Dan Badarau as Dimitri, Darren Shahlavi as Costel, D. Neil Mark as Steve, George Remes as Ronnie and Claudiu Bleonţ as Sorin, among 25 credited performers. It was made as a co-production between the United States and Romania, where it was shot, and was produced by Voltage Pictures together with Seagal's Steamroller Productions on a budget of about 10 million dollars.

The film arrived at a late stage of Seagal's long run as an action lead, with Chartrand, a stunt performer turned director, handling the direction rather than Seagal himself. Audience response has been modest: it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 5,000 votes, and 4.6 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 116 votes.
