Maddy and Cole were close friends until high school, when Maddy rose to the top of the social hierarchy. After experiencing heartbreak and loneliness, Maddy reunites with Cole. Together, the two former friends plot to sabotage the prom, viewing the event as the ultimate contest of teenage popularity.
