Short description
An American official travels to Moscow for secret discussions intended to ease tensions between the United States and Russia. During this visit, his granddaughter is kidnapped by a dangerous organization. To prevent a global conflict and rescue the young woman, agents from the Russian Federal Security Service and American intelligence services must set aside their differences and cooperate on a joint mission.
Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, this action comedy is the sixth film in his directed works, following Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. The movie was produced by Alexander Nevsky and Alexander Izotov, with a screenplay by Ross LaManna. The ensemble cast features Alexander Nevsky as Maxim Kadurin, Mark Dacascos as Tony Lin, and Tom Arnold as Agent Barnes, alongside Liliya May, Evgeniy Stychkin, and Anna Khilkevich. A total of 69 actors are credited in the production.
The film received a poor reception from audiences, reflected in a 2.4/10 rating on IMDb based on 1,200 votes. Similarly, it holds a 3.5/10 rating on TMDB from 28 votes.
What's left behind the scenes
- All fights, hand-to-hand combat, and stunts in the film were choreographed by James Lew, who also worked on "Lethal Weapon 4".
- Model and TV presenter Victoria Bone landed the role of the brothel owner, a part the producers had originally envisioned for Masha Malinovskaya. However, the latter failed to make contact before filming began, necessitating an urgent reshuffle—the actress accepted Bartkovyak's offer without hesitation and flew from Monte Carlo to Moscow, learning her lines along the way.
