Prospect

Prospect is a science fiction film about a teenage girl, Cee, who travels with her father, Damon, to a remote alien moon. They have a contract to harvest valuable gems buried deep within a toxic forest, hoping the job will make them rich. After landing, they discover they are not alone: other prospectors are searching the same forest, and the work soon turns into a struggle to stay alive. As the danger grows, Cee finds herself forced to rely on Ezra, a stranger who has been stranded on the moon for a long time, while also confronting her father's greed.

The film was directed by Christopher Caldwell and Zeek Earl, who also wrote the screenplay, marking their feature-length debut. It stars Sophie Thatcher as Cee, Pedro Pascal as Ezra, Jay Duplass as Damon, Andre Royo, Sheila Vand and Anwan Glover. Made for about four million dollars, it was produced by companies in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States and runs 98 minutes.

Prospect received a critics' rating of 7.1/10 from 54 reviews, higher than its audience scores of 6.3/10 on IMDb from around 40,000 votes and 6.2/10 on TMDB from roughly a thousand votes, suggesting critics responded to it more warmly than general viewers did.
