The Sun Is Also a Star

Natasha Kingsley, a Jamaican-born teenager living in New York, learns that her family faces deportation and has only hours left in the United States. On the same day, Daniel Bae, a Korean-American high school student on his way to an admissions interview for Dartmouth, meets her by chance. Over the course of that single day, the two fall for each other. Natasha works to stop her family's removal while resisting her growing feelings, and Daniel tries to persuade her that they belong together, even as their futures pull in different directions.
