Open Season 3

Open Season 3 follows the grizzly Boog after his friends back out of their annual guys' trip to spend time with their families. Feeling left behind, Boog sets off on his own and stumbles into a travelling Russian circus, where he meets a female bear in the troupe and encounters a performing grizzly who looks just like him. The two bears swap places, and when the circus prepares to head home to Russia, Elliot, McSquizzy, Mr. Weenie and the rest of the group must race to bring Boog back.

The film is the third entry in the Open Season series and was released in 2010, going straight to home viewing rather than cinemas. It was directed by Cody Cameron, who makes his feature directorial debut here; his next directing credit came three years later with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. David I. Stern wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Matthew J. Munn as Boog, Nika Futterman, Maddie Taylor, Karley Scott Collins, Ciara Bravo and Dana Snyder.

Worldwide takings of about 7 million dollars reflect that limited release pattern. Audiences have been lukewarm: on IMDb the film holds 5 out of 10 from roughly 15,000 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 5.7 out of 10 from around 700 votes.
