Short description
Sancaka has lived on the streets since his parents left him. Living a hard life, Sancaka survives by thinking about his own safety. When the condition of the city gets worse and injustice rages throughout the country, Sancaka must decide whether he continues to live to look after himself or rise to become their oppressed hero.
What's left behind the scenes
- In 2010, photographer and graphic designer Iskander Salim had the idea that no superhero films had yet been made in Indonesia. Deciding to rectify this omission, Salim created a website and a Facebook page and posted what were supposedly posters and supposedly photographs from the set of a future film about Gundala, an Indonesian comic book superhero who owes his superpowers to a lightning strike. Shortly after that, Harii Hasmi, the creator of Gundala, was approached with an offer to make a superhero action movie.
