The Beach House

After losing her job in Chicago, Cara Rudland returns to the Lowcountry of her childhood to visit her mother, Lovie. While spending time at their family beach house, Cara works on renovating the property and reconnects with people from her past. During her stay, she becomes involved in protecting sea turtles and supports her mother, who is caring for a pregnant friend. As Cara navigates her complicated family history, she faces the emotional challenge of her mother's illness.
