Come Away

Before Alice journeyed to Wonderland and Peter became Pan, they were brother and sister living in the English countryside. Alice, Peter and their elder brother David spend an idyllic summer letting their imaginations run wild, encouraged by their parents Jack and Rose. After a tragedy strikes the family, the children try to pull their grieving parents back from despair, and the siblings eventually face a choice between the safety of home and the world of their imagination, a decision that sets them on the paths toward Wonderland and Neverland.

Come Away was released in November 2020 and runs 94 minutes. It is the second live-action feature directed by Brenda Chapman, following Brave in 2012 and The Prince of Egypt in 1998. The screenplay is by Marissa Kate Goodhill, and the producers include David Oyelowo, Steve Richards and Leesa Kahn. Keira Chansa plays Alice and Jordan A. Nash plays Peter, with Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo as Rose and Jack Littleton, Reece Yates as David and Anna Chancellor as Eleanor Morrow. Forty-seven cast members and 117 crew members are credited.

The film combines adventure and fantasy elements, was made across the Bahamas, the United Kingdom and the United States, and took about 2 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.7 from roughly 6,300 votes, and on TMDB 5.8 from around 324 votes, while a critics' rating stands at 5 out of 10 from 69 reviews.
