Tessa Young has always followed the path laid out for her: a diligent student, an obedient daughter, and the faithful girlfriend of her high school sweetheart. Jenny Gage directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Susan McMartin and Tom Betterton. Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin lead a cast of 23 credited performers, among them Shane Paul McGhie, Khadijha Red Thunder, Dylan Arnold and Samuel Larsen. The film is an adaptation of the novel by Anna Todd, which began as a serialized story on the writing platform Wattpad, one of the production companies behind the release.
