Power of Grayskull: The Definitive History of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

Power of Grayskull: The Definitive History of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is a documentary about the He-Man and She-Ra franchise, tracing how a toy line grew into animated series, comics and a live-action film, and how the property was reinvented across later eras. Through interviews with artists, writers, executives and performers, it examines the making of these productions and the people behind them.

The film is directed and written by Robert McCallum and Randall Lobb, following their earlier documentary on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Among those appearing as themselves are Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella, both associated with the 1987 live-action Masters of the Universe movie, along with fight choreographer and stunt performer Anthony De Longis, production executive Gary Goddard, voice actress Erika Scheimer and production designer and artist William Stout.

Released in 2017, the documentary runs 95 minutes and was produced in Canada and the United States. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.8 from roughly 1,900 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 7 out of 10 from a much smaller base of 53 votes, indicating a modest but generally favourable response from those who have seen it.
