The Shamer's Daughter 2: The Serpent Gift

Dina inherits a supernatural gift from her mother: by looking into someone's eyes, she can force them to confront the wrongs they have committed. Her father, Sezuan, whom she has never known, possesses a different and darker kind of magic, the ability to make people believe things that are not real. Dina is warned to keep her distance from him and to never use dark magic herself, but when her brother Davin and the young heir Nicodemus are captured by the tyrant Drakan, she has no choice but to turn to her father for help. The two set out on a dangerous journey to free them, and Dina must come to terms with the powers she has inherited while deciding how far she can trust the man she fears.

The film is directed by Ask Hasselbalch, whose previous work consists of the three Antboy films, released in 2013, 2014 and 2016. Rebecca Emilie Sattrup returns as Dina, with Jakob Oftebro as Nico, Dejan Čukić as Sezuan, Nicolas Bro as Sarkan, Petra Scott Nielsen as Rosa and Allan Hyde as Davin among the twenty-two credited cast members. It was written by Philip LaZebnik, Søren Frellesen and Gunnar Järvstad, and produced by Nina Lyng and Eva Juel Hammerich for Storm Films, Sirena Film and Nepenthe Film in a Danish-Czech co-production, running 103 minutes.

Reception was modest. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.5 from around 1,100 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from roughly 94 votes. The smaller TMDB sample is more favourable, but neither figure points to a broadly enthusiastic response.
