This Polish drama follows three Catholic priests who share a bond after surviving a past tragedy. Each man occupies a different position within the church hierarchy and faces distinct personal struggles. While one seeks a high-ranking career in the Vatican, he is hindered by an influential archbishop focused on constructing a massive sanctuary. Another serves as a village priest who struggles with human failings, and a third deals with a loss of trust from his congregation. Their separate paths eventually converge as new crises disrupt their lives.

Directed by Wojciech Smarzowski, the film follows his previous works, The Dark House and Hatred, and precedes Home Sweet Home. The screenplay was written by Smarzowski and Wojciech Rzehak, with Jacek Rzehak serving as producer. The ensemble cast includes Arkadiusz Jakubik, Robert Więckiewicz, Jacek Braciak, Janusz Gajos, and Joanna Kulig, among a total of 135 credited performers.

The movie earned 30 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is generally positive, reflected by a 7.3 rating on IMDb from 7,100 votes and a 6.5 rating on TMDB based on 201 votes.
