Leo Cramps is a thirty-year-old factory worker who keeps his inability to read and write a secret. This struggle leads to a workplace accident when he is unable to follow written instructions. While recovering from his injuries, he forms a connection with Nora, a neighbor who is a nurse, a single mother, and an avid reader. Through their relationship, Nora discovers his secret and encourages him to pursue education.

This French drama was produced as a TV movie by France Télévisions and Escazal Films. It was directed by Jean-Pierre Améris, appearing after his 2015 film Family for Rent and before his 2024 project Danse ta vie. The screenplay was written by Murielle Magellan. The film stars Kévin Azaïs as Leo and Sabrina Ouazani as Nora, with Annie Cordy also appearing in the cast.
