Short description
In the 1820s, a taciturn loner and skilled cook travels west to Oregon Territory, where he meets a Chinese immigrant also seeking his fortune. Soon the two team up on a dangerous scheme to steal milk from the wealthy landowner’s prized Jersey cow—the first, and only, in the territory.

- The film's visuals were inspired by the works of American artist Frederic Remington (1861-1909), renowned for his depictions of the Wild West.
- Before filming began, lead actors John Magaro and Orion Lee underwent training with a wilderness survival specialist. They learned how to skin squirrels, build fires, and sleep in the rain.
- Prior to filming, John Magaro studied cookbooks from the early 19th century and prepared dishes using these antique recipes during production.
