Blue Beetle

Blue Beetle centers on Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate who comes back to his hometown full of plans for the future and finds that things at home have changed while he was away. While he is trying to work out what to do with his life, he comes into possession of the Scarab, an ancient piece of alien biotechnology. The device bonds with him and gives him an armored suit with powers he cannot fully control, turning him into the superhero Blue Beetle. His path soon brings him into conflict with the forces behind Kord Industries.

The film is directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, following his 2020 feature Charm City Kings; a later film, The Wrecking Crew, came in 2026. Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer wrote the screenplay, and the producers were John Rickard, Zev Foreman and Peter Safran. Xolo Maridueña plays Jaime, with Bruna Marquezine as Jenny Kord, Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, Raoul Max Trujillo as Carapax, Belissa Escobedo as Milagros Reyes and Damián Alcázar as Alberto Reyes.
