Moonlit Winter

Yunhee, a woman living in South Korea after a divorce, receives a letter from Otaru, a small town in Japan. Her teenage daughter Saebom reads the letter without her mother knowing and learns about a first love Yunhee had never mentioned. Hiding what she has discovered, Saebom suggests the two of them take a trip to Otaru together. There, mother and daughter spend time in each other's company while Yunhee, who believes she might meet her first love again, finds herself stirred by the possibility. Lim Dae-hyung wrote and directed the film, which is a drama with romantic elements. It stars Kim Hee-ae as Yunhee, Kim So-hye as Saebom, and Yuko Nakamura as Jun, with Seong Yu-bin, Hana Kino and Kumi Takiuchi appearing in supporting roles; the credited cast runs to 83 people. Koh Kyeong-ran produced. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 6.9 from around 1,400 votes, while on TMDB it scores 7.1 from 67 votes, a smaller but similarly positive sample from viewers.
