The Assault

Set in December 1994, this action thriller follows the hijacking of an Air France Airbus A300 at the Algiers airport. Four terrorists from the GIA take control of the plane and its passengers while it is bound for Paris. The conflict centers on the kidnappers' demands and the efforts of an elite special forces unit to stop a tragedy once the aircraft reaches Marseille.

The film was directed by Julien Leclercq, who also co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer. This project marks the first in a series of films directed by Leclercq, preceding works such as The Crew and The Wages of Fear.
