Max Winslow and The House of Secrets

Max Winslow and The House of Secrets follows five teenagers who are invited to compete for ownership of a mansion belonging to Atticus Virtue, an entrepreneur and scientist. The contest puts them against HAVEN, a supercomputer that runs the entire estate. What begins as a game turns dangerous as the house itself becomes a trap, and the teens find themselves fighting to survive the night.

Sean Olson directed the film, his second feature after The Contractor and before Camp Hideout. Jeff Wild wrote the screenplay, and Johnny Remo produced. Chad Michael Murray plays Atticus Virtue, with Marina Sirtis providing the voice of HAVEN. Sydne Mikelle leads the teenage group as Max Winslow, alongside Tanner Buchanan, Jason Genao and Emery Kelly. The film runs 98 minutes and blends family, science fiction and thriller elements.

Released in May 2020, the film received modest attention. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.1 from around 2,600 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from a much smaller pool of 91 votes. The higher average from fewer viewers suggests a warmer response among those who sought it out, though the larger sample points to a generally mixed reception overall.
