Horizon Line

Sara and Jackson, whose romantic relationship has ended, are invited to the wedding of close friends on a remote tropical island. They hire a small Cessna together for the flight across the Indian Ocean, with a pilot who treats the trip as routine. Mid-air, he suffers a heart attack, leaving the two passengers alone at the controls with no idea of their position and no way to call for help. A tropical storm closing in raises the pressure on a pair who must cooperate if they are to survive.

Horizon Line is a 2020 action thriller directed by Mikael Marcimain, his second feature after Call Girl (2012) and before An Honest Life (2025). Josh Campbell and Matthew Stuecken wrote the screenplay, Fredrik Wikström produced, and the cast is led by Allison Williams as Sara and Alexander Dreymon as Jackson, with Keith David, Pearl Mackie, Jumayn Hunter and Privilege Magezi in supporting roles. The production was an international effort involving companies from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, the United States and Sweden.
