World famous pop group the Spice Girls zip around London in their luxurious double decker tour bus having various adventures and performing for their fans.
What's left behind the scenes
- Roger Moore appeared in a cameo role in the film. He spent only one day filming; like the other actors in cameo roles, Moore had no idea what the movie was or what it was about.
- Jason Isaacs appeared in a cameo role in the film, but all of his scenes were cut.
- A flashback shows that the homeless girls initially live in a small cafe, where they dream of fame and even perform their future hit 'Wannabe' for the owner, who supposedly gave them shelter without asking for anything in return. This entirely fictional scene convinced many fans of the group that this was exactly how the girls started.
- The original version of the film contains mentions of Gianni Versace and Princess Diana as if they were still alive. Both subsequently passed away, and corresponding changes had to be made to the film.
- The final scenes contain hints of a future sequel. According to Emma Bunton, these plans were abandoned due to Geri Halliwell's departure.
