Danur 3: Sunyaruri follows Risa Saraswati, a young woman who tries to set aside the gift that lets her perceive spirits and live as an ordinary person. In doing so, she loses contact with Peter and the ghostly companions she has long known, but unsettling events begin to unfold around her, pulling her back toward the unseen world she tried to leave behind.
The film is an Indonesian horror, mystery and thriller directed by Awi Suryadi, continuing the series he began with Danur: I Can See Ghosts in 2017 and Danur 2: Maddah in 2018. This is the third of several Danur films in his filmography, which later includes titles such as KKN: Curse of the Dancing Village and Danur: The Last Chapter. Lele Laila wrote the screenplay, with Manoj Punjabi producing for MD Pictures and Pichouse Films. Prilly Latuconsina returns as Risa, joined by Rizky Nazar, Syifa Hadju, Sandrinna Michelle, Umay Shahab and Steffi Zamora.
Running 89 minutes and released in September 2019, the film took in about 5 million US dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.2 from roughly 420 votes, while on TMDB its 6.6 average rests on a very small handful of ratings.
