My Führer

Set in late 1944, this comedy drama depicts a depressed and frail Adolf Hitler who has lost his confidence as the war turns against Germany. To revitalize the public's will to fight, Joseph Goebbels arranges for Hitler to deliver a powerful speech on New Year's Day. Because the leader is unable to perform, Goebbels brings a Jewish acting teacher, Adolf Grünbaum, and his family from a concentration camp to provide intensive rhetoric and psychological coaching over five days.

The film was directed by Dani Levy, following his 2002 work I'm The Father and preceding Berlin, I Love You (2019), The Kangaroo Chronicles (2020), and Kochschule Schwarz (2026). The cast features Helge Schneider as Hitler, Ulrich Mühe as Grünbaum, and Sylvester Groth as Goebbels, with other roles played by Adriana Altaras, Stefan Kurt, and Ulrich Noethen.
