Dispassionate Love

Three lovers struggle with longing and loss as they recall a friend who died by suicide. Their shared grief leads them into a complex emotional cycle of failed expectations and abandoned affections. In this state of mourning, their love transforms into a cold, indifferent desire that causes deep psychological suffering.

This drama was written, produced, and directed by Ashish Avikunthak. It is the first of three films directed by Avikunthak, followed by Devastated in 2024 and The Killing of Meghnad in 2026. A joint production between India and Germany, the film was created by Ashish Avikunthak Production and Weltfilm. Released on May 1, 2018, the movie has a runtime of 91 minutes.
