This documentary focuses on the aftermath of a fire at the Colectiv club in Bucharest in 2015. After the blaze, several patients died in hospitals from injuries that should not have been fatal. A group of investigative journalists from the Gazette des Sports begins looking into these deaths, eventually uncovering widespread corruption within the Romanian healthcare system and state institutions. The film follows the reporters, whistleblowers, and government officials as the scandal leads to public protests and the resignation of the government.

Directed by Alexander Nanau, who also co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer, the film features Cătălin Tolontan, Mirela Neag, and Vlad Voiculescu appearing as themselves. This production was a joint effort between Germany, Luxembourg, and Romania, involving companies such as Samsa Film and the Luxembourg Film Fund.
