Short description

This dark comedy is set in a bleak version of Palermo inhabited by gluttonous citizens and deformed members of the mafia. The story follows three middle-aged brothers from a poor family who are forced by local crime bosses to hide a mysterious elderly man, referred to as the Uncle from Brooklyn, inside their home.

The film was directed by Daniele Ciprì and Franco Maresco, who also wrote the screenplay. This 1995 production was the first film directed by Ciprì and the first by Maresco.
