Major Ronan Jackson, a fighter pilot in the Israel Defense Forces, is shot down over Syrian airspace and taken prisoner by Hezbollah fighters. Because his father is a United States senator, a joint American and Israeli special forces unit is sent into Syria to extract him. The squad, led by a gunnery sergeant, faces a race against time and high risk to reach a man most of them have never met. Devon Sawa plays Jackson, with Robert Patrick as Senator Jackson, Ben Cross as a Marine general, and Amaury Nolasco among the rescuers. The film is a war story built around a rescue mission behind hostile lines, set largely against the backdrop of the Syrian conflict.
Don Michael Paul directed and wrote the film, which is the thirteenth of fifteen features he has directed and follows Scorpion King: Book of Souls from 2018, with Tremors: Shrieker Island arriving in 2020. It is part of the Jarhead series of war films. Jeffery Beach and Phillip J. Roth produced, and the film runs 103 minutes.
Released in 2019, the film has an IMDb rating of 5.3 from about 4,600 votes, while on TMDB it holds 6.5 from roughly 3,365 votes, so audience responses differ somewhat between the two platforms, with the smaller TMDB sample landing noticeably higher.
