Mission «Sky»

Mission «Sky» centres on three men serving at the Khmeimim air base: Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Soshnikov, Captain Konstantin Muravyov and Major Zakharov. The three differ in age, temperament and background, and their paths converge at the base, where their duties as servicemen bring them into the same orbit. The story follows their service and the ties that form between them. The film is a Russian war drama directed by Igor Kopylov, who also wrote the screenplay and produced it alongside Inessa Yurchenko and Sergey Scheglov. It was Kopylov's second feature, arriving two years after his 2019 debut, Unknown Battle. Igor Petrenko plays Soshnikov, Ivan Batarev plays Muravyov and Sergey Gubanov plays Zakharov, with Ilya Noskov, Dmitry Vlaskin and Sergey Zharkov among the supporting cast; 74 performers are credited in all. Released in November 2021, the film runs 110 minutes and took roughly 2 million dollars worldwide.
