Worth

Worth is a drama based on real events, centering on Kenneth Feinberg, a Washington lawyer appointed to run the government fund set up to compensate the families of those killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Working alongside Camille Biros, the head of his firm, Feinberg must put a dollar figure on lives lost, a task that draws him into bureaucracy, politics and widespread skepticism about the fund itself. His outlook shifts as he comes to know Charles Wolf, a community organizer mourning his wife, and begins to grasp the human cost behind the calculations.

Sara Colangelo directed the film, her second feature after The Kindergarten Teacher, from a screenplay by Max Borenstein. Michael Keaton plays Feinberg and also produced, with Amy Ryan as Biros and Stanley Tucci as Wolf; Tate Donovan, Shunori Ramanathan and Talia Balsam appear in supporting roles. The production was a British, Canadian and American effort, involving Ingenious Media, Anonymous Content, Higher Ground Productions and Riverstone Pictures.

Released in July 2021, the film runs 118 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.8 from around 20,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.7 from roughly 400 votes. A critics' rating of 7 out of 10 from about 100 reviews places critical opinion slightly above the audience scores, indicating a generally favorable but not enthusiastic response.
